Borders and Bicycles

Although we promised both our mothers we wouldn't go to the India-Pakistan border, I've been reading about trips from Amritsar to the official border ceremony in Wagah. Every description I've read about the ceremony mentions Monty Python because the ceremony looks like it was organized by the Ministry of Silly Walks. Appropriately, here is Michael Palin describing the ceremony:

While I am tempted to go see the border ceremony, I guarantee that I will not do this while in India:

So the title of this post doesn't actually make sense. I know motorcycles and bicycles are different things, but I like alliteration and cheesy/predictable travel blog post titles.

And we're back!

After a four year break, the blog is back on! Dave is still handsome. Actually, because he's a guy he's probably considered more handsome now and will continue to do so as my appearance deteriorates. Lucky him.

While we have traveled since the last post, we haven't had another long sojourn with insane amounts of overnight travel. Until now that is! In exactly three weeks we will be leaving balmy Edmonton and, a week after that, will be heading to Mumbai. While we're pretty open ended about where we go between the flights we've booked, here is a map Dave made of the tentative plan:

My goals for this trip include:

- stalking Shahrukh Khan.
- going to the filming locations of many Shahrukh Khan movies.
- doing my Shahrukh Khan impression at least once a day.
- annoying Dave (I think the previous three goals will help me achieve this).

In honour of this great plan, I give you my favourite Shahrukh Khan ad:
